Capture One Pro Fujifilm Available As Perpetual License
Phase One announced at Photokina this year that Capture One Pro 11.3 was available with extended RAW support for Fujifilm cameras, most notably that they supported the medium format GFX 50S (and new GFX 50R, unofficially).
Phase One also introduced a less feature rich Express version Capture One Express Fujifilm specifically for Fujifilm users, which is offered as a similar arrangement to the Capture One Express Sony.
Capture One Express lacks some of the features of the Pro version such as Sessions, Layers and tethered camera control, but RAW file support for the cameras and lens profiles doesn’t vary. See here for the full list of features.
A Pro version of the Express for Fujifilm app was also announced at the same time and available as a paid in-advance annual subscription for 159 Euros ($183). From today, it’s available as a perpetual license for $199. If you’re not planing to update your camera for the foreseable future, the perpetual license may be the more affordable option.
The standard Capture One Pro app supports all the same Fujifilm models as the two Fujifilm versions but includes RAW file support for other brands, including Sony, Canon, Nikon and Leica.
It’s more expensive still at $299 for a perpetual license or 180 Euros ($206) for pre-paid annual subscription, but if you’ve another brand in addition to a Fuji camera then the standard Pro version makes the most sense.
Readers of this site purchasing a perpetual license for Capture One Pro or an upgrade from a full version (e.g. version 9 or 10), will receive a 10% discount when entering the promo code AMBCARTER at checkout from the Phase One Online store. When purchasing prepaid annual subscriptions readers will receive a 5% discount (on the first year). Sales from these links may benefit this site.
