Fujifilm GFX 100 medium format camera with IBIS announced
In addition to announcing the new rangefinder-style Fujifilm GFX 50R and three new lenses, see here for more details, Fuji took the opportunity to make a development announcement. The 102MP GFX 100 medium format camera is a more conventionally styled model than the current GFX 50S and will include on-sensor PDAF across the entire frame. Information is sparse but the 102 megapixel sensor in the GFX 100 is expected to be 43.8 x 32.2mm sensor, like that found in the 50S and 50R models. The GFX 100 also features sensor-based image stabilization – a first in medium format, and 4K video from the X Processor 4 engine. A mock-up was shown at the event to launch the GFX 50R.
Fujifilm said the camera will be available in 2019 at a price of around $10,000.
