X-Rite announces new ColorChecker Passport and Calibration solution using ICC profiles for Capture One Pro
Colour management and measurement specialists X-Rite have introduced a new ColorChecker Passport Photo 2 target that has four targets (instead of three, previously), including a new 18% Grey Balance target and new software for the creation of custom ICC camera profiles for use with Capture One Pro or any other workflow that uses ICC profiles. Lightroom users have not been left out, as the new software solution will also create custom DNG profiles as per the original offering. Sigma introduce MC-21 Mount Converter for L mount bodies
Sigma has introduced the MC-21 mount converter for mirrorless L-mount bodies, at the time of writing includes the Leica SL/TL and the new Panasonic S1 and S1R. There are two versions of the converter, the £249.99 EF-L allows Canon EF mount lenses, including Sigma lenses with EF mount to attach to L mount bodies. Priced at just £99, the second, SA-L version, allows Sigma lenses with the SA mount to fit the same bodies. Sigma has confirmed the new converter has compatibility with 29 Sigma full-frame and APS-C lenses with the latter automatically enabling the auto-crop feature on full-frame bodies. Lee Filters introduce new filter holder for 100mm filters
Update: Read our review here Lee Filters have updated its venerable filter holder for the Lee100 system – the maker’s main filter system for small- and medium-format cameras. The new filter holder has been redesigned using lightweight, composite materials, and filter guide blocks clip onto the filter holder, so you no longer have to unscrew them when reorienting or when adding more guides to allow additional filters to be inserted. Capture One Pro 12.0.1 service release announced
Phase One has introduced the first service release for Capture One Pro 12. In addition to a number bug fixes and stability improvements, 12.0.1 adds support for the new Canon RF 50mm F1.2L lens. Nikon to add Eye AF option in firmware update
If the Eye AF feature is as good as that found on the Sony a7 (later models) and a9, and the new Canon EOS R which has seen a fair amount of negative press (and mostly unwarranted in my opinion), then it will be a highly- prized option.

Nikon announces availability of ultra-wide 14-30mm F4 S zoom for Z-mount
Nikon has officially announced the Nikkor Z 14-30mm F4 S lens, the first ultra-wide, moderate speed zoom for its full-frame mirrorless system. The Nikkor Z 14-30mm F4 S was previously disclosed in a ‘roadmap’ during the launch of the new system at Photokina 2018. Weighing just 485g (17oz) and measuring 85mm (3.5 ins) long when retracted, the new lens is relatively light and compact, especially when compared with the current Nikon AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm F4G ED VR for DSLRs.
